25W CROSSES THE
OUTLET OF THE
PEQUEA CREEK ON A GLOOMY MORNING 0:34 - 2.0MB
The town of Pequea sits at the end of the Pequea creek, where it flows into the Susquehanna River. The town is fairly easy to get to, it's at the end of route 324, which goes all the way to Lancaster. If you are in the area I would suggest checking out the massive Martic Forge trestle, which can be seen from Rt 324 a mile or so east of Pequea. This is part of the old A&S Branch, which is now abandoned.
Once in town, you can park at the boat launch area and walk under the Port Road. The better shot of the bridge is from the shoreline on the west side of the bridge. You can also see the Safe Harbor Dam from here, and you can probably see a train passing by it as well. For trackside shots, there is a road (if you wanna call it that) that turns off of River Hill Road north of the bridge. This gravel road runs directly beside the tracks.
